# How Can Effective Order Management Help Grow eCommerce Revenue?

I suppose many of you who have been following the growth of eCommerce v/s retail over the last decade weren't surprised to hear that the US Digital commerce sales passed $1 trillion within a calendar year in 2022 - as [**reported by analytics firm Comscore.**](https://www.comscore.com/Insights/Press-Releases/2023/1/Internet-Records-Historic-1-USD-Trillion-Consumer-Milestone)

While this growth is truly astonishing, it got me thinking about how can eTailers prepare to support the [**projected growth to ~ $1.7 trillion**](https://www.statista.com/statistics/272391/us-retail-e-commerce-sales-forecast/#:~:text=Revenue%20from%20retail%20e%2Dcommerce,billion%20U.S.%20dollars%20in%202022.) (that's over 50%) within the next 5 years! - to benefit from such an explosion in growth, merchants must make sure that their back-office systems are ready to support all their customer-facing channels (eg: retail, POS, websites, call centers, mobile, kiosks, etc.).
